Well done Mr. Reeves. Can we expect a Father Apprentice show at the Doug Fir soon?

I thought, hey, this looks pretty cool. And, I thought the things you were saying made lots of sense. That is until you started dropping the f-bomb. Wow, not my idea of a good example for dads to follow.

We need dads, that’s a fact. But, we need dads who will provide an example worth following. Dad’s who buck the trend and don’t use trashy, guttural language just to be cool.
Too bad, Chase. I know I’m not cool, but I really don’t care. I’m just trying to be a good dad that provides an example for my son and daughters to follow.

Michael, I appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.

I like that you’re genuine. If that means swearing.. that’s ok with me. There are plenty of overly PC dad sites out there. I like you just the way you are mr. reeves.

Thanks Jason, I appreciate that. What are the words to the song?

“What am I doin’? What am I doin’?
Oh, yeah, that’s right, I’m doin’ me
I’m doin me
I’m livin’ life right now, mayne”

Mayne??

Almost all of the men I know when speaking to each other as men trying to connect (meaning men vs. Dads setting an example while in front of their kids) drop language from time to time that wouldn’t be suitable for kids. Nothing about “being cool” – it’s just how it is for most of us, and doesn’t hurt a thing. I agree with Jason – keep being authentic. You’re not making videos for kids – your making videos for adult adolescents Dad’s like me :).

Here’s to many more months of the Father Apprentice *raises glass*
Appreciate the down to earth nature of the site and the perspective of being a Dad.
Awesome.

Well done Chase. You are the frakin’ (b-rated for “fuck”) improv master. Ditto Jason’s comment. Keep it real and authentic. I had an awesome day with my two boys: rode the train, took a long walk, bowled like mad men, bought a bike helmet, made some tostadas, rocked out to music, and read night time books. Phew. Being a dad frakin’ rules.
