New Dad’s Biggest Fears

A few months ago I did a how to make an old fashioned cocktail video with Dave Groom. Then I talked to Dave about his labor advice.

In this video I talk with Dave about his biggest fears about being a dad. At the time of this filming he’s only been a dad for a couple weeks.

Dude I am so with you on this. My daughter is 3 1/2 now and pretty tough like her older brother, but I’ve still got the radar on each night and I’ll wake up if she coughs or starts fussing. Meanwhile if Boeing 747 flies right over our house I could sleep right through it.

Totally know the feeling you’re talking about and it sucks. But what can you really do about it? We as men are incredibly powerless when you really think about it. In fact, we’re incredibly prideful to think we can control anything but wiping our own arses. It’s all gifts from above – your wife, your money, your kid, your job, your breath, your toilet paper. Cliche of the day: do your best and let God do the rest. There will still be statistics and, you’re right, you may be one of them – but odds are you won’t be! Onward and upward
