Rickshaw Skinny Laptop & Backpack Bag Reviews

Ok, I don’t know if I’ve told you this yet, but I love this company. Rickshaw Bags is making some of the best bags around. They also support Father Apprentice by giving our readers a discount. More on that later.

In the video below I show off two new Rickshaw bags — the Skinny Laptop Bag and the Skinny Laptop Backpack. Both are well designed and well made.

The skinny laptop bag is killer for my morning commute. I used this one for 6 months or so before I gave the backpack a try. It really is slender, you notice it when you’re dodging those damned Greenpeace folks on every corner of the city — with their clipboards and good intentions.

Check out the video for more info.

I haven’t used a backpack in forever but I have really liked using this bag for the past month or so. When it’s on, it’s on — no sliding about, no awkwardness when I lean over, just badass commando mode style. I really dig that.

I think these bags look awesome and I’d love to pick one up, but selling the wife on spending $100+ is tough.

I hear that. After using my other Rickshaw bag for about a year, I don’t have any problems with it, though — these things are made really well.

I have to fight the same battles with jackets. Just bought my first Patagonia jacket… cost me almost $300, but it’s got a friggen life-time warrantee. That’s the payoff… Good luck, sir!

These bags look horrendous.

Chase December 14, 2011 at 9:38 am

You don’t like?

Well, I should have clarified. My fault. The backpack one is god aweful. The messenger isnt that bad. But the backpack, whoa, booger-eater nerd alert. Seriously.

Is this company doing anything to put bags on kids in africa that would never otherwise have that opportunity?

Chase December 14, 2011 at 10:28 am

I’ll look into that dan. In the mean time, you could get some stylish and conscientious shoes to fill your emptiness: http://www.toms.com/

Those bags are awesome! I’m looking at getting one for my vacation next year. Have you ever thought about doing wheel of fortune? You really know how to show off those products.

I could get a good bag for less but quality comes with a price. Nice review.
