This book will help you make sense of your situation as “dad.” But you should know: it’s written to be something a guy like me could enjoy reading. I’m not the over involved, over concerned, “make the most of birthing class” kind of guy. I’m the overly self involved, whiney, and immature guy with just enough commitment and hope and moments of love truly experienced to have a chance at not completely fucking this thing up. That’s me — that’s who I wrote this for. Guys like me typically need a friend to push a book like this into our hands and say “read this, asshole.” I wrote this book to put something into your friends’ hands.
That’s a snippet from the upcoming book I’m putting together.

I’ve been working hard, writing and editing and putting together a small book to help new dads make the most of fatherhood; the kind of thing that I would love to give to any new dad, and they could read it on the sh!tter. It’s going to be funny, and it will also be matterful. You will like it.

We got lots of feedback on the Good Enough Dad post earlier this week (srsly, if you haven’t read it yet, read it now), so I thought we’d put together a lil’ vid to help you get to know a little bit about the writer.
In this video you’ll learn about Courtney Stubbert, graphic designer, music connoisseur, father apprentice. He’s funny, he’s insightful, he’s got a receding hairline (remember those “suicide hours” he mentioned in that post?), but in this vid I wanted to keep it light and get to know more of his geekiness and extra-fatherly proclivities. continue »
I’m Chase Reeves, the guy who started FatherApprentice originally, and one of the main contributors. I figure you’ll be seeing a lot of me on here, so I should give you a little background/understanding about me so you can trust my trusty trustworthiness! So here’s a lil’ interview with yours truly. continue »
